This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the acceptable use of TextBolt’s email-to-SMS gateway service. This policy is designed to protect our users, our service, and the broader SMS ecosystem.

TextBolt services may be used for legitimate business purposes including:
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- Order and delivery notifications
- Customer service communications
- Emergency alerts and notifications
- Marketing messages (with proper consent)
- Internal business communications
3. Prohibited Activities
Strictly Prohibited:
- Sending unsolicited messages (spam)
- SHAFT content (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco)
- Illegal products or services
- Fraudulent or deceptive content
- Harassment or threatening messages
- Phishing or social engineering attempts
- Malware distribution
- Copyright infringement
4. Compliance Requirements
All users must comply with:
- TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act)
- CAN-SPAM Act
- CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
- 10DLC guidelines
- Carrier-specific requirements
- Industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
5. Consent Management
Required:
- Obtain explicit consent before sending messages
- Maintain records of consent
- Honor opt-out requests immediately
- Provide clear opt-out instructions
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning and required corrective action
- Temporary service suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Legal action where appropriate
